YTMP3 Desktop Guide
The general desktop walkthrough: convert on Windows, Mac, or Linux in any modern browser, find the file, and get it into your music library. For Mac-specific steps, see the Mac guide.
Convert in four steps
- Copy the YouTube link. On desktop, copy the address bar URL, or right-click the video and copy the link.
- Open the converter. Go to ytmp3.downloaderyt.com in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
- Paste and pick quality. Paste the link, choose 128 or 320 kbps, hit Convert.
- Download. Click the download button. The MP3 lands in your browser's download folder.
Where downloads go
- Windows: the Downloads folder (File Explorer sidebar).
- Mac: the Downloads folder (Finder sidebar).
- Linux: whatever download directory your browser is set to, usually ~/Downloads.
Into your music library
- Windows: drag the MP3 into iTunes, MusicBee, or your player of choice.
- Mac: drag it into the Music app; it syncs to iPhone if syncing is on.
- Linux: most players pick up files from your Music folder automatically.
If the download is blocked
Some browsers block multiple downloads or flag unfamiliar files. Allow downloads for the site in the address-bar site settings, then try again. Keep the browser updated.
